DAY 1 - Cetraro (3 nights)
Arrival at Lamezia Terme airport and transfer to your hotel, meet with your tour host for welcome cocktails and dinner. (D)
DAY 2 - Diamante, Praia a Mare, Maratea
After breakfast we depart for Diamante, a picturesque fishing village where the homes in the historic centre are painted with more than 150 murals, the work of artists originating from every corner of the globe and also home of the world renowned Chili Festival. We continue to Praia a Mare and visit Isola di Dino and its Blue Grotto. We then visit Maratea known as the “Pearl of the Tyrrhenian” because of its natural beauty. (B, D)
DAY 3 - Paola, Fiumefreddo, Cosenza
Today we visit Paola and the Sanctuary of Saint Francesco Di Paola. We then visit the beautiful little town of Fiumefreddo Bruzio, where spectacular views of the whole coast can be seen from the terraces. We continue to Cosenza, the third largest city of Calabria and gateway to the Sila Grande mountain range. We visit the Civic museum, the 5th century Cathedral and one of best preserved Norman castles in Calabria built in the 12th Century. (B, D)
DAY 4 - Sibari, Corigliano, Rossano (1 night)
After breakfast we depart for Sibari, (Sybaris) a city of grandeur and splendour during the Magna Graecia period before it was destroyed by Kroton in 510BC. We move on to Corigliano Calabro which stands on the top of a hill where the houses cluster on terraces that rise up, culminating on the imposing 15th century castle. Continue to Rossano and visit the Church of Saint Marco, one of the finest examples of Byzantine architecture in Calabria. Rossano is also home to the “Codex Purpereus”, the original texts of Saint Matthew and Saint Mark. (B, D)
DAY 5 - Camigliatello, San Giovanni in Fiori, Santa Severina, Crotone (1 night)
Today begins with a visit to Camigliatello and the surrounding lakes of the Sila mountain range. We continue to S. Giovanni in Fiore where we visit the 12 century Abbey of Gioacchino da Fiore and then on to Santa Severina which sits on a plateau overlooking the Neto valley and is dominated by the imposing structure of the Norman Castle. Continue to Crotone and overnight. (B, D)
DAY 6 - Crotone, Capo Colonna, Le Castella, Catanzaro Marina (2 nights)
This morning we have a tour of Crotone, (ancient Kroton), founded around the 7th century BC by Greek colonists.  We visit the Castle and the National Archaeological Museum, before continuing to Capo Colonna to see the Temple of Hera, the archaeological site and Le Castella, a 15th century Arogonese castle, which has been recently restored. We then make our way to Catanzaro Marina.   (B, D)
DAY 7 - Catanzaro, Taverna, Tiriolo
The morning is dedicated to a guided tour of the capital city of Calabria, Catanzaro.  With its panoramic position, the city is also known as the “City of the 3 hills.”  We then travel to Taverna, a rest stop along the Via Romana, as we retrace the steps of the Ancient Romans who came long before us. After lunch, visit the historical centre. We continue to Tiriolo, which was once the centre of the weaving industry and where many artisans still ply their trade. (B, L)
DAY 8 - Roccelletta, Soverato, Serra San Bruno, Stilo, Siderno (3 nights)
After breakfast we visit the Archaeological Park of Scolacium, to see its mixture of ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine remains.  We then visit the Museum of Roccelletta which houses some of the finest examples of Roman sculpture along with other interesting artefacts. (B, D)
DAY 9 - Day free to relax and recharge (B, D)
DAY 10 - Locri, Gerace
We travel to Locri Epizephyrii, an ancient Greek city founded in the 7th century BC. Visit the archaeological excavations and the Museum. Continue to Gerace, the medieval town once known as the "Florence of the South" and visit the Cathedral, Church of San Francesco. Enjoy an evening of wining and dining with a Calabrian family, followed by music and dancing. (B, D)
DAY 11 - Pentedatillo, Reggio Calabria, Scilla, Bagnara (3 nights)
After breakfast we depart for Pentedattilo, an ancient town built into the rocky mountainside that appears like five outstretched fingers. We continue our tour and take an excursion to the two seas and visit Reggio di Calabria (Rhegion), which was founded by the ancient Greeks in 734 BC.  We visit the world famous National Museum of Reggio Calabria where the "Bronzi di Riace" are displayed, followed by a walk along the Lungomare "the most beautiful kilometre in Italy" and from where you can gaze across the Straits of Messina towards Sicily.  We then visit mythical Scilla, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and meander through the narrow streets of the enchanting “Chianalea” district. DAY 12 - St. Elia, Gambarie, Aspromonte
We begin the day with a visit to Mount Saint Elia, the “balcony over the Mediterranean” and take in the spectacular views. Next is a trip to the Aspromonte National Park, and a climb to the top of Mt. Montalto.  On a clear day you can see both the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas and across to Sicily.  This is followed by a lunch of Calabrian specialties in a typical local restaurant.  (B, L)
DAY 13- Tropea, Pizzo, Capo Vaticano
After breakfast we travel to Pizzo and visit the Little Church of Piedigrotta which has been completely carved out of the Tufo rock. Next is a tour of the Ruffo Castle after which, we stop at the Piazza to enjoy the best Tartuffo ice cream in Italy! We then continue on to Tropea, the “Pearl of the Mediterranean”, where we visit the Cathedral and take a walk through the historic centre and enjoy the magnificent views from the “affaccio”, the most beautiful balcony over the Tyrerhenian Sea. We finish our day with a visit to Capo Vaticano and take in the breathtaking views. Back to hotel for farewell dinner. (B, D)
DAY 14 - Departure
Transfer to Lamezia Terme Airport and onward to your next destination.
